Changes to my study programme
Hi, welcome
to my latest blog post!
I really
like the new Visual Arts curriculum, it allows us to learn different
disciplines and techniques to work with visual or even sound works. I like the
theoretical and practical subjects, it allows me to work from a more conscious
place.
I think
that the career is well thought out to be able to finish it in the 4 years that
correspond. The academic load is quite heavy for all the courses and for the
time you have to dedicate to the practical courses, but I think it is worth it
for the satisfaction of working autonomously and creatively.
The faculty
of arts at JGM is very precarious, the roofs have asbestos and are full of
leaks, there are not enough chairs and lecterns, but we have a beautiful
library, a big casino and a lot of grass around the faculty.
Although we do not have the best infrastructure, we do have a lot of
technology in the workshops, the computer rooms and obviously our technology
workshop, that is where the best tools of the faculty are located.
The teaching methodology varies a lot depending on the teacher, some older
teachers tend to teach more traditionally in traditional artistic disciplines,
but there are also teachers, both young and old, who prefer to work from a more
contemporary, more experimental place. I think it is good that there are
different metrologies so that each student can choose the course that best
suits their interests.
Thank you very much for reading!
